Sutton Send Rivals Down
Long Sutton condemned rivals Spalding to relegation on Saturday. Suttons 0-0 draw against Havering was enough for their visitors to retain their place in Norwich Union East League Division One.
"We should have stuffed them in the first half but by the end of the game we were happy to take a point," said skipper Mark Riddington.
Suttons problem according to Riddington, was the final pass. They will have to put that right tomorrow (Saturday) when they take on already promoted Bedford. A victory will give Sutton a very satisfying final placing of fifth. |
