20/03/10 :: Broxbourne 1 .... 2 - 4
Long Sutton produced another weak home performance on Saturday in the NE14 East Premier B League. Sutton opened sluggishly but still had the better early chances with Gary Hales and Danny Sissons both going close. Broxbourne opened the scoring with a goal on the break which left Sutton rather aggrieved after what appeared to be a foul at the start of the move. The visitors doubled their lead after Suttons defence dwelt on the ball and allowed it to be stolen leading to a well struck goal.
The second half began with Sutton more dominant but struggling to break through with poor final passes and some good Broxbourne defence. Sutton finally got back into the match as Hales pulled the ball back for Sissons to score before Hales was able to equalize. Sutton continued to press with limited success before a Broxbourne break saw them take the lead before they made the game safe with the final touch of the match. Sutton entertain Wapping on Saturday (1pm Peele School). |
