Sitting 2nd in the table, Long Sutton knew they had to perform to keep their place, but they knew there was a hard task ahead of them in the form of Louth.

Sutton started strong, with most of the posession, but at half time they saw themselves 1-0 down after a breakaway goal from Louth. Sutton lost Rebecca Kierman in the first half, after a ball struck her head and sent her off to hospital.

 The second half saw much the same as the first, again with Louth catching Sutton on the break and took a 2 - 0 lead. After numerous goal scoring chances Sutton finally managed to get a goal back. This came after a brilliant run, and an astounding ball in from Player of the Match Sophie Hart, which resulted in Melissa Ludlam slotting the ball into the net. In the last 15 minutes of the game, Sutton had all the play in the attacking half, but the luck was not going their way and the game finished in a 2-1 loss.
