This game was bound to be entertaining from the start and it did not let anyone down. Throughout the whole game both teams had equal possession and attacking play. Sutton were playing some very attacking hockey and this was rewarded when Rebecca Kierman lifted the ball over the keeper to put the home team ahead. During the latter stages of the game, it really opened up allowing both teams to put alot of pressure on the others defence, but it was Long Sutton who were to fall foul and allow Cambridge University to level the score from a short corner that did not leave the D before the shot was put away. Even though Sutton were on top for the last ten minutes, they could not secure a win. Player of the Match was Lorraine Wallis.
