In the second match of the new season Long Sutton Ladies II struggled to score following Woodhall Spa's early goal. Despite numerous attempts from forwards Katie Ireland, Emma Howell, Rhian Goodge and Becky Kierman, Sutton remained goal-less.

The game proved a narrow win for Woodhall with some excellent goal keeping which kept Sutton's strikes at bay. Even with strong defending from captain Sam Carr, (who kept the game moving with decisive passes) the visitors left victorious.

The player of the match was Helen Worth and a special mention goes to keeper Mags who played in her Sutton debut.
