...what a game! An impressive win from Long Sutton this weekend with the whole team playing well. The end result was a 2-1 victory over opponents Spilsby.
A short corner in the first half saw Spilsby score however Sutton kept fighting. Pace picked up after half time with Lisa Baker scoring twice from great shots.
The player of the match is Emma Howell because of her wing sprints and great slips across the D to Lisa. There was also some good team play from midfielders Helen Worth and Hannah Greenacre with Emma up the wing.
Laura Temple had a successful first league game as sweeper making some strong, confident hits.
A tremendous team effort and deserved win, well done Long Sutton!
