Sutton started slowly gifting Colchester the lead. After this it was all Sutton. Sutton controlled the play and had nearly all possession and it was no surprise when they equalised. Fyson unleashing one of his trademark thunderbolts from a short corner. Colchester were fortunate to regain the lead as Sutton continued to dominate. Sisson then cut through the Colchester defence and scored a fantastic, individual, reverse stick goal to even things up again. The second half was a different story and the festive indulgence took its toll on Sutton. Colchester took the lead and Sutton couldn't respond. Colchester scored again and then controlled the game to come out deserved winners. Sutton will need to put some hard work in during the coming weeks to get back to the shape they were in before the break.
