Sutton travelled to top of the table Blueharts on Sunday and gave a much improved performance despite the scoreline. Sutton started well but were caught on the break by a good move which saw Blueharts take the lead. Blueharts were playing like a side determined to get promotion but Sutton produced some good hockey of their own and defended superbly with noticeable performances from the returning Baguley and stand in right back Whatling to stop Blueharts adding to the score. 1-0 halftime. Sutton had to work tirelessly against strong opposition but did create chances to get on the board which they couldn't quite convert. Blueharts did break the Sutton defence twice from short corners and despite some great saves by Loweth they added a fourth at the death. A better team performance against strong promotion contenders will give Sutton confidence next week.
