Sutton were shown a master-class of attacking hockey on Saturday. Wisbech were soon 1-0 after a mistake in the midfield. They were ruthless in front of goal and soon made it 2. Sutton couldn't seem to find any possession and gave the ball away too cheaply. This allowed Wisbech to capitalise with their speed and accuracy and they scored twice more before the break. Sutton started the second half more brightly but lost their captain for dissent after 5 minutes. This seemed to spur Sutton on and they pushed higher up the pitch and produced their best hockey of the game. Sutton scored two quick goals. Their hopes were quickly dashed as Wisbech regained possession and fired in a succession of quick goals. Sutton's skipper returned only to be sent off again for stopping the ball above his shoulder. Wisbech kept attacking the goal, and despite efforts from Man of the Match Ellis, they notched 9 in total.
