Sutton started this trophy game at a high tempo and created some good chances.

Against the run of play Letchworth opened the scoring, but once again Sutton came straight back at their opposition and equalised through Danny Sisson. After this, the game was even with both teams creating chances. Letchworth took the lead again from a cruel deflection off Jacob Loweth, which spiraled into the goal. Sutton's determination was on show once again, as they fired back with a superb strike from Gary Hales.

After the break, Sutton started the brighter, having good possession, and it was no surprise when they took the lead through Gary Hales. Letchworth then came back at Sutton, and deservedly equalised, which took the game into extra time for the second year running.

In the first period of extra time, a cruel deflection gave Letchworth an open goal, which they scored. The golden goal was theirs, and that was enough to take them through to the next round. Sutton can hold their heads high after a good display, especially from debutant Matt Holmes and Man of the Match Nick Ellis
