BOSTON BATTENED!!

Boston 1sts 1-8 Long Sutton 2nds

Long Sutton continued their positive form with a disciplined display at the leagues bottom side. Sutton began strongly with the forward line missing several opportunities before birthday boy and man of the match Dan Batten opened the scoring. Sutton continued to create chances but playing with a high line they switched off at the back and allowed Boston to equalise. Sutton continued to press and with the forward line ineffective in front of goal, it was right back Stuart Ingram who popped up in the 'D' to calmly put the ball in the bottom corner and show them how its done.

The second half saw the Sutton strikers wake up with Nick Bailey and Ben Shore (2) adding their names to the score sheet to increase the lead and put the game to bed. Sutton's relentless attacking continued with Jeremy Watt and Michael Donagy increasing the goal tally. The final goal was a testiment to great teamwork and unselfish play. Following a great passing move which involved most of the team Batten found himself open for an easy tap in to finish a great day for Sutton.

Sutton now travel to Peterborough City 6ths hoping to continue their good form.
