Long Suttons 2nd XI's 2nd and final friendly before season start was against March 2's at home.
A changed squad due to club injuries gave some 3rd and 4th team regulars an opportunity to step up to the plate for the 2's, and they did so successfully leading to a convincing 4-2 victory.
March scored 2 good 1st half goals but Sutton's 2 goals from Fred Whatling, 1 from a well positioned Adam Wiles and an excellent reverse stick strike from Jason Mallet meant Sutton would take the victory. James "Pigman" Cliffs performance between the posts kept March's goals at just 2, also an excellent display from 3rd team regulars Matt Grange and Shane Thompson outfield. A good all round performance and a well deserved win, taking forward positives into next weeks 1st league game at home to Peterborough.
