Sutton came out on top in a match that was well fought and in which both sides played some excellent hockey.

The play flowed from end to end and the fact it was 0-0 at half time was a testament of some excellent organised defending from both teams, Nick Worth, Calvin Bishop and Ash Rex particularilarly standing out for the home team.

Leadenham took the lead in the second half after a goalmouth scramble, however Sutton showing their recent confidence, fought hard and were level after a well worked short corner resulted in a goal for Andy Blom, whose incessant running earned him man of the match.

Sutton continued to press and after a period of pressure got the winner through a classy finish from Will Cook, topping off a excellent all round performance by the returning winger.

Both teams contributed well to what was an enjoyable game for spectators with quality hockey on show from all areas of the pitch.
