Sutton just edged this hard fought game between two promotion chasing sides. Both teams started the first half strongly, but it was Horncastle who carved out the more clear cut chances and would have ended the half in the lead if not for some excellent saves from Man of the Match Albert Slator and good work in defence from Nick Worth, Josh Fyson and Ashley Rex.

Sutton started the second half brightly, with Brad Sargeant, Ed White and Jason Mallet working well with a more advanced Fyson; the play was more even, however both sides struggled to find a clear cut opportunity.

Eventually, five minutes from the end Sutton had a rare lapse in defence and Horncastle reacted quickly to take what looked a decisive lead; however, almost immediately Micheal Blom crossed the ball to Alex Canham who shot into the corner of the goal from the top of the D. This revitalised Sutton and with time running out Canham intercepted a pass, played it to Andy Clarke who crossed for Fyson to clinically score the winner with the last shot of the game. A well fought team win, which takes Sutton back up to 2nd in the table.
