LSHC Mens' Fourth v Alford 2nds
Played Away on 24th September 2011
The Long Sutton 4ths started out the league with a trip to the seaside to take on Alford. Long Sutton started strongly with a quick goal from Captain Matt King, Alford then came back at Sutton hard but with great defending from Ray Warwick, Ed Munson, Josh Thody, Sam Gray and Nick Worth they were kept at bay for a while until on the counter Alford scored to make the half time score 1-1.
The second half was unlucky for Sutton conceding two goals; this did not stop Sutton having a few good breaks down the wing from Calvin Bishop and a great game from Ed White in the midfield but they struggled to get the ball to the forwards due to the experienced defence of Alford. A lot of confidence can be taken from today's performance and the 4ths look forward to next weeks game against the 3rds.
