LSHC Mens' Fourth v Pelicans Vets' 4ths

Sutton started the year with a very positive performance against Pelicans Veterans. A committed team performance in cold conditions resulted in a draw.
Sutton started well and held their own in cold windy conditions against a skillful more experienced side. Organised well Matt King and Matt Holmes, with Ian White offering creativity in midfield the sides confidence grew and were unlucky to concede a goal to a well worked Pelicans attack.
Sutton pushed on with Calvin Bishop and Lee Cousins working hard and whilst Josh Thody made a number of saves, it was the Pelicans keeper who was the far busier, making a saves from the Sutton strikers to preserve their lead until Ed White ran onto a ball in the box and beat the keeper with a fine finish to equalise. A good natured hard fought friendly ending all square.
