MATCH REPORT

A Badgers side full of promise took on Spalding on Friday. A mixture of those already playing league hockey and those waiting for their 13th birthdays with a couple of vets thrown in to add experience and coaching on pitch. The team started steadily feeling their way against a well matched Spalding side. With Jacob, Connie and Emmy working hard the rest of the team also put in the effort needed to keep the game at 0-0 despite some strong running by Josh N and Charlie which began to pay dividends with short corners being awarded. Second period saw the only goal of the match as connie followed up a Jacob shot. The defence of Josh, Maisie, Tom and Jess held firm leaving Tyler with scant work to do.
