We had 13 in the squad to face Cambridge City 4s and we won the first pushback. The pace was fast but we kept up well. Our defence faced endless attacks but we were able to make several attacks towards their goal. Lottie was struggling with a rugby injury so swapped off for Charlotte.

Cambs City attacked our D from their right. We tried to close them down but they hit a ball across the D towards the left of our goal. Lorraine dived and saved it, but it went straight back to them and they managed to slot it past just inside the left post. 1-0 to Cambs City. We didn't let it phase us and we soon picked up the ball, Hannah taking it from the middle of the pitch and driving to the top left. Amber called for it at the P spot and Hannah's cross was spot on. Amber picked it up and very coolly beat the goalie in a 1 on 1. 1-1. We faced several short corners but we managed to clear the ball every time. Then 10 minutes before the end of the half Cambs City scored another goal from open play. 2-1 to Cambs City.

The second half was hard work and we spent a lot of time defending. We tried to win some short corners but the decisions didn't come. Hannah got a green card for a second tackle. And a couple of others were spoken to by the umpire over frustration at certain decisions. Again we kept them out at short corners. Unfortunately just before the final whistle we let them through and they scored the final goal. It ended 3-1 to Cambs City. Everyone played well today and worked hard despite some frustrating decisions. POM was a well-deserved win for Tania White for her absolutely tireless defending all over the pitch.
