This week the ladies twos travelled away to play March. They were a strong team and dominated play for the first half putting a lot of pressure on our defence, especially our keeper Emily Braggington, who had a fantastic game. The first half finished 0-0 with all still to play for. A rousing half time pep talk had a good influence on the Long Sutton side and we quickly capitalised on an opportunity to break from the midfield. A cross ball from Lauren Cooper was finished off by Millie Lamming in the P spot to take Sutton up 1-0. On a roll from this first goal, Sutton attacked with more confidence and vigour than we'd seen in the first half and a rebound off the keeper from heather Ludlams shot was finished by newcomer and 'back to hockey' Mum Georgina Synott. March were quick to retaliate, and caught Sutton off guard to score a goal back, taking us to 2-1 with 10mins left in the game. They attacked strongly, forcing numerous short corners in our defensive circle which Sutton courageously defended, however March eventually bagged the finally goal of the game, resulting in a 2-2
