Long Sutton ladies 2's travelled away, with a full team, to a very windy Louth for an early push back. From the off Sutton had the determination and will to want to attack. Within the first ten minutes, Sutton won their first short corner. With a powerful injection from Katie Collingwood Smith, Hannah Baker was able to take a straight strike from the top of the D. The ball was stopped on the line by a Louth foot, so Sutton were awarded a flick. Hannah stood up to the mark and converted the flick, but sadly it was not awarded due to a double movement. Sutton continued to push hard and after moving the ball well around in the middle of the pitch by Sally Hoyles, Rhian Goodge and Lisa Baker, Hannah was able to have another strike from the top and this time it was converted, and Sutton had their first score of the day.

The second half continued in a similar vein with Sutton having the majority of the possession and moved the ball around the pitch well. Louth did have a few breakaway attacks, but they were soon dealt with my Emma Grosvenor, Rachael Gadsden, Emily Braginton and Lucy Smith. After numerous attacks by Sutton they were able to once again score; this time it was a run down the right by Lousie Southgate, who then hit the ball into the D. Georgia Synnott was them able to deflect it around the defence and into the back of the goal. Sutton continued to press in attack and they were unlucky not to score any more goals, but they were happy to leave a very windy Louth with the 3 points. The Ladies hope to continue their winning way in next week's game against local rival Spalding.
