Long Sutton Ladies 2nd knew they would get a hard game against Current 2 place team City of Peterborough 4ths. They started well-putting pressure in Mid-field through the tiresome work of Ali Monoghan, Sally Hoyles, Katie Collingwood Smith and Hannah Baker and upfront Georgina Synnott but could not quite finish their chances. The defensive midfielders of Daisy Rummery and Emma Grosvenor worked well together to help out the backs and provide good through balls for the forwards. However, even with this hard work, Sutton gave away a short corner near the end of the 1st half which was placed down the right-hand side of the keeper Emily Braginton to put COP 1 nil up going into halftime.

Sutton had a short, sharp talk at halftime and came out of the blocks as they started the first half, again their chances were kept at bay by the COP defence and Keeper. Sutton had plenty of chances but just could not convert them. Their defence remained solid for the duration of the 2nd half With Rachael Gadsden, Lucy Smith and Claire Smith keeping the COP forwards at bay. The game ended 0-1 to Peterborough.
