Imogen Cooper profile

The Ladies 2's travelled to the seaside on a cool crisp sunny Saturday with their trademark team spirit and a squad of 12. Captain Braginton was hopeful of coming back from the seaside with more than candy floss and donuts; she wanted something from the game! Alford are never a walk over and this proceeded to be the case again, bringing the game to Sutton as they tried to press home home advantage. This Sutton team is fast becoming a different prospect though and with Player of the match Imogen Copper particularly impressive as well as the returning Hales and Grosvenor resolute in defence the attacks launched by Alford were repelled. Where they did get past the defence, once again the highly skilled Emily Braginton in goal showed her quality to be well above 4NW (North) and kept them out. The midfield worked hard to try and build for Sutton, with the industrious Whitelam working well to support Cooper and the forwards remained honest all game through but could not force a break through. Ultimately a draw was a fair result and Captain Braginton got to go home with her clean sheet, perm and brows intact with her cherished point, whilst the coach got a well done from his Daddy who came to watch!
