Long Sutton Ladies made the short trip along the A17 to local rivals Pelicans, with a squad of 14. Pelicans had the first push back but Sutton stamped their authority on the game immediately, forcing them to play the ball off the side line. Suton took the hit quickly and worked their way into the opposition D and forced a short corner. A slick injection from Lottie Dack was met by Gemma Parr, but her shot was narrowly wide, and a little too quick for Lottie to get a deflection on. The stall had been set out though and Sutton continued to push Pelis back with great passing between the midfield trio of Penny Perowne, Jasmine Smith (back on the pitch, after her super game in goal last week), and Lottie Dack. It wasn't long before Sutton did find the back of the net with a great strike from Gemma Parr, this time giving the keeper no chance. 1-0 Sutton. It was soon 2-0 when a ball into the D was met superbly by Lottie Dack at the back post. Despite solid defending by Julie Skate, Claire Sisson and Lucy Smith, Pelicans were leaving players forward and did manage to pull a goal back, the first goal to be conceded in the league this year. Sutton were not done though and soon had the cushion of a two goal lead again, when Lottie Dack was fouled in the D and the umpire deemed it severe enough to award a penalty flick. Up stepped Gemma Parr to coolly slot home. With the benefit of 3 subs Sutton were able to keep the tempo high, Lynne Braginton playing her first game of the season bringing fresh impetus, along with George Synnott and Aimee Betts. Sutton's forward trio of Florence Perowne, Wendy Canham and Amelia Norey were making great runs allowing the mid-field to continue to push forward and Sutton stretched their lead, a super strike from Jasmine Smith leaving the keeper with no chance. Half -time 1-4 Sutton.

The second half saw Pelis push further forward than they had been able to in the first half and Sutton had to stay concentrated to ensure that they were not able to get back into the game. With Sutton able to use their squad to the maximum to keep rotating there were no further goals.

Man of the match was rightly awarded to Lottie Dack for her relentless running, super goal, and good communication.

Next week Sutton are at home to St Neots 4's
