Sutton started slowly to a very organised home side. After a period of tense pressure, broxbourne managed to score the first goal of the game. Shortly after from some interesting decisions given, broxbourne scored a second from a deflection into the net. Sutton began to grow into the game and created some threatening chances on goal. Unfortunately these were well handled by the keeper and the first half ended at 2-0. Sutton came out the blocks knowing they had to score next with man of the match Matt Goodly working tirelessly in midfield helped to increase the tempo for the visitors. Sutton's time to score came down the right, where Whatling's ball into the D managed to find Jackson for a deflection under the keeper. Sutton pushed for an equaliser but unfortunately broxbourne broke into a counter to add their 3rd, and the final goal of the game. The game became more scrappy as time drew to a close. Sutton look to next week to try again for their first win; taking the positives with them.
