An away day day at Cambridge university is always deemed difficult from the start but an 11 oclock push back even more so. Then to add a lack of balls face mask and first aid kit it seemed as the odds were against Sutton from the off.

A half hearted warm led to the side deservedly being 2-0 after 10 as they failed to control the centre of the park. It was at about this that Sutton wake up into this game and started to create chances for themselves. Proctor and batten coming close but to no aveil. It would the usual source of Josh Baker to open the scoring with a nearly taken forehand shot into the post and in. Sutton would then go onto concede one more with from a tap in. For Sargeant to half the deficit once more minutes later. First half ended 3-2 Cambs

A side that felt there something to be had from the game the second half started strongly with a string of chances and short corners which again wouldn't come to much. The next 10 minutes would have not much to be said for the men in green as once again they lost there control in the midfield and defence and led to Cambridge scoring a tap in a direct shot and from a short corner. 6-2 down and a mount to climb the men in green would then start to build chances again with josh fyson adding from a short corner and dan Oldfield adding from a deflection on another short corner. The play was in Sutton's favour it was just of case of too little too late and the last 10 minutes a disallowed goal from Brad Sargeant and a couple of short corners unfortunate not to go in us all they had for there efforts.
