The weekly lottery to find the individuals who would represent the Village of the Damned 2nd team was drawn and a strong squad was selected for their first home match of the season. After their win away against the ever disappearing report writing South team, they faced a travelling Bourne side on a sunny afternoon in the Wash Riviera.

Sutton controlled the game from the start and took the game to Bourne with good work from Ed White, Will White and the returning Burton. Stef Fox controlled the midfield and was ably backed up by Tom Baguley and Simon Clarke. Adam Taylor as always put in a good shift as did the ever working Fraser Watt whose tracking was exemplary.

Sutton's pressure soon paid dividends with an excellent finish from Watt after excellent work from Canham, Josh Norey on his debut for the team, and an incisive final pass from Fox . This built the home sides confidence and it was soon 2-0 after a reverse stick finish from Tom Burton – Ben Hales once again proving a very useful addition from the third team.

Sisson made a couple of saves but the action was really all Suttons and whilst they added a third through White with an intelligent finish after some slick build up play with Canham, they could have and should have scored scored a few more. Never the less a good win, a clean sheet, a strong team ethos and a POTM award for Josh Norey on his, debut.
