Long Suttons second game of the weekend saw a rearranged fixture against Louth. Upon arrival it appeared a big task ahead with Suttons bear 11 coming up against a large Louth side of 16. Suttons spirits where high after yesterdays win also knowing a win today would see them take 2nd place from Bourne. As the game started Sutton carried on playing in fine form with East, Hagan And Pack dominating the right hand side and Charlie, Collingwood Smith and Lambert doing the same on the left and goals soon came with Hagan tapping two past the keeper in quick succession from a Pack and White cross. As the half came to a close momentary indiscipline saw a flick awarded against Sutton which saw Matt Braginton get the slightest of touches to push it wide (or so he said) half ended 2-0 With Sutton still going strong the second half followed the same suit with great distribution from Ed white and Shooter to the wide men short corners soon came around with great work from Lambert and Pack of which Ed White converted. this didn't halt Sutton and as the team started to pressure was applied in Suttons 25 and short corners soon arose which proctor and Shooter amply handled until Louth finally found the gap and a foot on line by Louth player was unfortunate not to be seen as the ball was put in the net. This brought Suttons second wind and 2 minutes after Ed White added to his tally making his way into Louth's d and flicking it just above the back board. Sutton continued to punish Louth's defence and short corner after short corner saw frustration and disappointment for Sutton when finally Ed White finished off his hatrick through the legs of the keeper. With 10 minutes to play Sutton wasn't finished with only Louth's Sweeper keeping the young forwards at bay and Hagan from also completing his hatrick and Collingwood Smith and Pack from adding to the tally. game ended 5-1 and a very happy Sutton side went out and achieved what they had set to do by dismantling play slowing to down to their pace and scoring the goals to put the game beyond doubt Special mention must go to McKenzie East and Quentin Charlie who both excelled in unfamiliar defensive positions both only slightly missing out on the player of the match. Potm however must go to Ed white for great communication from the midfield excellent distribution of the ball and ultimately putting the game beyond doubt for the young third team. Dotd goes to Tyler Hagan for his ballerina performance towards the end
