This weeks game was Sutton's first back since Christmas, but that didn't stop us starting off strong. First, we welcomed Luke Lovegrove back after 2 years without a stick in his hand. The game started quite even, both teams were getting attacks through, but not being able to turn these into a goal. Sutton has to deal with a few short corners against them but dealt with them well and got the ball out every time. George Neale and Luke Lovegrove working together well through this middle getting the ball to Jon Goodley up top and letting us get some shorts of our own. Near the end of the first half Jack Smith got into the D and got a shot off, but this was blocked by a defenders body. The first half ended 0-0. The second half started very similar to the first, being very even. This did not last too long though, as a team attack from George Neale, Luke Lovegrove and Steve Smith got the ball into the D and was given to Jon Goodley and then he scored to put us 1-0 up. Soon after we needed up conceding a goal and tied the game 1-1. In the part Alford kept attacking but this is where James Cliff came into his element. He went for 1 on 1 after another and kept winning them. After one last attack form Alford they were able to deflect one past us and take the lead with 2-1. The game ended with this score.
