This week long Sutton faced Peterborough at home. This weeks game was a great team effort for all who played. The game started off with Sutton pushing high and keeping the ball in Peterborough's half of the pitch. This was working well but soon Peterborough got some counter attacks in, but Sutton's back four stood strong. Great movement from Adam Pack, George Neale, Steve Smith, Ian White and Jon Goodley through the middle lead to our first goal put away by Steve Smith. For the rest of the half both teams had attacks but didn't get anything from it. Starting the second half Peterborough were awarded a few short corners, but the defense were strong and Jack Smith ran the taker down and stoped the shots getting away and then Jeremy Smith got the ball away from our Goal. They got some shots off from open play and Albert Slaytor stoped then all. Sutton were awarded a short corner and and Ian White put in right in the bottom corner and making the score 2-0. We got another short corner and then it was shot from outside the D but no one was able to get a touch on the ball before it went into the goal so the scores stayed 2-0 until the final whistle. Man of the match was awarded to George Neale.
