Another great result from the Mens 3's today a hard fought game against an all adult side. With many of our regular players missing due to the current situation we find ourselves in we were lucky enough to have some players stepping in to fill the gaps with James Cliff coming in as goal keeper, Dom Ibrahim picking up the midfield and Simon Smith providing fresh legs from the subs bench when needed ;and they were regularly.

Having a slight change of order to how we normally position our players with Jack Smith running the defence which included Josh Smith, Ben Hales and Gary Croxford Through the middle we had Dom Ibrahim , Jake and Daniel Simpson supported by Sam Skate and then up front Josh Norey and Gary Hales. The team worked really well moving the ball around with some great link up play but unfortunately we conceded a goal in the first half. However , the team kept their focus with Dom Ibrahim holding the midfield being able to feed out balls to the wings and also up front. This constant pressure led to winning several short corners from which Gary Hales was able to score 2 goals in the first half , one being a cheeky little number into the bottom left hand corner which meant we finished the first half 2 -1 ahead.

The second half Leadenham came out hard to get back in the game but we were able to weather the storm with defence working hard with the help of the midfielders providing support when needed . As the game progressed we were able to take the initiative leading to further goals from Gary Hales and also a neatly taken shot from Dom Ibrahim. Towards the end of the game whilst pressing on the attack which led to a melee in front of goal with the ball dropping for Jack Smith and with a quickly taken shot sent the ball to the back of the goal. The game ended 5- 1.

With all the players stepping up to the plate and working together as a team, winning the ball with some great passing and moving on and off the ball. It was extremely difficult to pick out any individual players but it was decided that with all his efforts throughout the game the player of the match was Josh Smith. Another fantastic performance keeping us at the top of the league and now going into a weeks break . Keep up the good work and keep up this positivity for the rest of the season.
