With a mixture of youth and experience in today's squad and a little reshuffle with some players being called up to the 2s the field was set for an exciting game.

Both teams started strongly with possession switching as they settled. Sutton came close through Bartlett before opening the scoring with a Jackson, Daniel Simpson 1,2. This was closely followed by a reply from the visitors who scored after a goal mouth scramble. Sutton defence rallied and the team pushed forward again. The second goal, a Hales through ball that found a sprinting Jackson with a solid finish. Sutton defence continued to work hard with great running from Jake Simpson to cover any Cambs break away runs and a goal line clearance from Ed Munson that had spectators thinking they were watching a cricket match. Half time score of 2:1 resulted in a more determined Sutton team taking to the pitch. Against the run of play Cambs got their second goal to even the score. This was quickly negated as Troy Croxford played a ball back to the P spot for Gary Hales to straight strike.

The younger members of the team began to build momentum with some great attacking positioning from Ed Hales, Bartlett and D Simpson and several short corners that continued to press Cambs back. G Hales got his second and Sutton continued to dominate. The youngsters tenacity paid off when Daniel Simpson received a ball in the D and struck it straight into the top corner of the net, leaving the keeper watching. As E. Hales, Simpson, Milnes and Croxford continued to press, Croxford was rewarded by bagging the last goal of the game with a reverse stick strike past the keeper. Final score 6-2, POM shared between Ed Hales and Troy Croxford
