The fourth team continued their winning ways, with the injection of a finishing masterclass from Josh Baker who bagged all three goals. In a close, entertaining and enjoyable tussle, both sides played a full part, with the visitors scoring two good goals, one from a short corner and the other a solo breakaway. Baker's efforts came as a result of good work on the flanks from Josh Lambert and James Collingwood-Smith, and defender Kieran Forrest enjoying himself on many forays into opposition territory. Due to injury, Sutton had to manage with ten players for much of the proceedings and it took good shifts from Lewis Shooter and Luke Proctor to preserve parity. Quinton Carlile graduated from the Back-to-Hockey program and made a fine senior debut, displaying great passing awareness. In the end it was only the touch of class in front of goal that gave Sutton the points, but the match was a good advert for the junior sections of both clubs and for the merits of East League Div6NW, with all the players having an opportunity to showcase their skills in an even match-up.
