MATCH REPORT

Lindum Arrived for a good battle with Sutton with Former England Players and County Players in their ranks. Sutton with only a couple of changes from their game versus Wisbech HC were certainly ready to use the home advantage and green army grit.

A well fought first half saw end to end chances from both teams. Lindum having spells of domination in the middle of the pitch and handfuls of strikes on goal. (MMOM) Brad Whitmore would deny all that was bestowed upon him. Defensively Sutton held well with key players T.Burton, J. Burton and R, Goodge mopping things up at the back. Twins C & E Gittins were relentless on the wings and new comer J. Dodd showing a outstanding display of talent and recognition from the squad as (LMOM).

It would fall to J. Baker to deliver a thunder blot just on the verge of half time to ease Sutton into the last 35 minutes 1-0 up.

Sutton flew straight out the blocks in the second half and gave an early sucker punch to Lindum with a well executed pass from L.Jackson to allow D.Batten to neatly slot another past the keeper.

J. Baker adding a third with yet another cracking goal. The Synnott boys doing a brilliant job of breaking down any plays made by Lindum and assisted captain L.Jackson to add a fourth in quick secession. H.Baker having a great game upfront holding off defenders and aiding her team mates to volley above the keeper timelessly. With a final short corner to be played on the final whistle, H.Baker cracking shot skill fully saved by the Lindum keeper saw J.Fyson serving a top corner corker!
