Long Sutton started off by Dominating the 1st half even with the relentless wind. The defence and midfield gave some great support to the forwards with some fantastic team work being played. This eventually led to Katie Collingwood-Smith providing a perfectly timed cross to Heather Ludlam who slotted it away to give them a 1-0 lead. The 2nd goal came from some well timed open play from midfield through Georgina Synnott to Hannah Baker giving her her 1st league goal, Sutton re-grouped at half time 2-0 up. The 2nd half was busier for the defence. Jemima Dodd made her debut today worked calmly and cooly at left back. This also provide the pitch with some needed width. Woodhall Spa created some good chances but could not convert them thanks to Emily Braginton. Long Sutton did have their fair share of chances in the 2nd half winning some short corners but could not quite finish them. This was a well fought 3 points and will now look and work towards next week.
