MATCH REPORT
LSHC Ladies Second v Louth 2nd
Played Home on 6th January 2018Sutton's first game back After the Christmas break saw a strong Sutton team dominate play on their home turf. Rhian Goodge created opportunity in the middle of the pitch, connecting nicely with Heather Ludlam and Georgina Synnott on the wings. Perseverance in the D from Hannah Baker and Katie Collingwoood Smith finally allowed Collingwood Smith to find the back of the net, thanks to a great run from Maisie Sullivan. Sutton went into the second half 1-0 up and hungry to increase their lead. Louth also seemed determined to level the score line but were no match for our defence. Lucy Smith blocked and pushed up the pitch linking well Synnott and Lynne Braginton. Daisy Rummery and Jessica Burton also showed their skill with both showing hunger and determination in the attacking 25. The 2nd goal came from good work in the centre of the pitch from Goodge who played a lovely cross in to the D allowing Braginton to sweep it into the goal. The score finished with a win to Sutton 2-0, despite more attempts from Synnott, Goodge and Baker.
