Long Sutton Ladies 2s traveled to Skegness to face Alford 2s for the second time this season. With a team of 14 players and having won the first match where these two teams met Sutton went out determined to win. The first half was disappointing for Sutton with the score line staying at 0-0 despite having 70% of possession. With a good motivational speech from team manager James Baker at half time and a few pointers Sutton started back fighting. After a good 15 minutes into the second half Sutton finally managed to get a short corner. As the ball was pushed out to Hannah Baker she gave a straight strike to get the goal taking Sutton 1-0 up. Baker (H) was able to double her tally with a second goal from open play with Rhian Goodge playing the ball to Baker at the top of the D to strike the ball into the goal. The final goal came from a good team effort goal with some good linking play involving Sally Hoyles, Katie Collingwood-Smith and Goodge getting the ball into the D for a Rebecca Hales deflection.
