Eleven of us travelled to Cambridge to face the full squad of Cambridge Uni 3s. We knew we had a good chance of a result, but it would be harder with no subs. We won the first pushback and started to attack. It wasn't long before we faced some defensive short corners. But we managed to clear the ball each time and work it back up the pitch. We were good at closing them down and keeping them to the wings and out of the middle of the pitch. It helped us get to half time with the score at 0-0.

In the second half Cambs Uni benefitted from fresh legs and were able to regularly make it to our D and win several short corners. One of their players received the ball at the top of the D and struck it passed several of us to score. 1-0 to Cambs Uni. After an hour we finally got an attacking short corner. It was quickly followed by another. We had some good shots but unfortunately we couldn't score. Cambs Uni attacked again and fired a very quick ball from the top of the D straight across into the bottom left corner of our goal. 2-0 to Cambs Uni. It was a frustrating game and we struggled with no subs. POM was won jointly by Tania White, Lisa Baker, Amber Jones and Maisie Sullivan.
