Sutton first home game of the season resulted in a 7-4 loss to Bishop Stortford. Sutton started the brightest with Matt Goodley putting the home side 1-0 ahead. The lead was not to last though and after Sutton spent a lengthy period of time defending, Bishops Storford were soon 3-1 up. Ben Shore then managed to pull a goal back but Stortford scored immediately after to extend the lead to 4-2. They then converted another short corner right on the half time whistle to leave Sutton 5-2 down at the break. Sutton started the second half really brightly, with Goodley scoring his second of the game in the first attack of the half, however once again, Stortford replied within a couple of minutes and Sutton were 7-3 down. Josh Fyson managed to pull one back for Sutton towards the end of the game to finish with a 7-4 loss.
