Long Sutton mens 1st made it 2 wins in as many weeks convincingly beating st ives 2nds away from home. Owing there biggest victory to st ives earlier in the season hopes were high that they'd be able to replicate something similar away from home.

Both sides had their chances for throughout the game but it would have to be said that Sutton had the bulk of them in the early exchanges. The side would enter half time 3-0 to the good with goals coming from Fyson from a broken-down short corner, Baker from a neat reverse and Hales from a tap in. Looking for more goals the team deemed it urgent to get the 1st goal of the second half and again looked most likely to do so. More chances came and went as st Ives defence just about held out in the early stages of the second half but a further 2 further tap ins from Gary Hales shored up the points for the men in green. As the half coke to the end a crash ball through the defences found a home forward to beat James Cliff in the goal for their only consolation of the afternoon. Rallied on the team looked for more but chances again came and went. Game ended 5-1 long Sutton

Motm Sam Gray for a stellar performance in the middle of the park
