With the third team losing some of the regulars from previous weeks and travelling away to play Bourne seeping this week, all heads were still held high. With the return of Lewis shooter and Pavel saponenko into the midfield and a last minute helping hand from the "youngster" Dan Oldfield to make the team up to 11 the thirds went out and played the best they could. With Sutton constantly on the attack in the first half it wasn't long until skipper sisson opened up the score from a short corner sneaking it past the defender on the line, this started the team momentum needed, not to be left out on the score sheet it wasn't long until young will t tricked the keeper and ran the ball past the line. With the ball being played about soon out of nowhere Dan Oldfield decided to help the thirds out even more by trying to break the backboard with the ball. After another short corner routine it was then adam pack's turn to gain his name on the illusive score sheet with a reverse which appeared to surprise himself. With the third team picking out young Taylor out wide it seemed to be a attacking game for the young squad, with Oldfield once again scoring Bourne decided to attack and attack. The Sutton defence was tested time and time again but held as strong as they could. It wasn't long until the home side gained their goal against Sutton after so many attacks it seemed to a clean sheet was just out of reach for the green army as Whitmore was unable to stop the strike. Another 3 points for the third team and what seems to be a team always playing better each week and more as a team, will try and carry on this winning performance as they play Leadenham in next weeks home fixture.
