the first game of the season saw a strong third team take on a depleted Louth team with Sutton boasting 13 compared to Louth with 9. The game started in Suttons favor with good moves into Louths half and soon short corners arose and were unlucky not to take the lead early on. 10 minutes into the half Suttons effort soon payed off as a saved fell to Lambert who placed the ball high into the side netting giving the lead. This didn't halt Sutton and were soon back into the away sides half and after a couple of failed short corners Jack smith put the ball high into the netting after a rebound fell nicely to his stick and hit sweetly past the unaware keeper. As half reached its mid way point the defense of Jack Braginton Jeremy Smith and Ed Munson kept the opposition at bay and in unfortunate circumstances and misplaced Sutton stop deflected into Suttons goal. This only spurred Sutton on and with great attacking play saw two more goal come in with quick succession from Adam Pack who slotted the ball past an approaching keeper and a Harry Braginton deflection at the back post on a short corner. Half ended 4-1 There isn't much to be said about the second half as Louth gained two more players and played defensive and halted Suttons play in their half and so began a ping pong effect from the thirds 25 to the back line, Sutton being the likeliest to score lacking on end product and unable to link up with players in the oppositions 25. Louth managed to keep a clean sheet for the half and the Suttons defence kept the Louth attacks to a minimum. game ended 4-1 Player of the match this week goes to Jack braginton with stellar performance in left back making the position his own, communicating well with the sweeper and midfield to keep Louth attacks to a minimum
