A depleted third team travelled to Surfleet to take on Spalding men's sixth team. The game started in the home sides favour as the third team struggled to get use to playing on a bouncy pitch and the young Spalding side took advantage and were 1-0 up in the middle of the first half. at this time Sutton started to settle and chances came with to Sutton and the gained the equaliser after a saved Ian White strike rolled across the line. The third team pressed hard for the remainder of the half with excellent work from the wide men josh Lambert and James Collingwood Smith feeding the ball into Harry Braginton and Ian white both unfortunate not to add on multiple occasions. Sutton was awarded another short corner on the whistle of half time which Ian white Neatly converted only to have it disallowed moments later. half ended one all. After a constructive team talk Sutton started the half playing the kind of hockey they'd played in previous weeks and for a strong majority of the time the ball didn't touch Spalding's sticks and when called upon Munson Loweth, Goodley and Jack Braginton all ensured keeper Matt Braginton would have a very boring half. As Suttons attacks increased it saw more and more chances from Adam Sisson, Ian White and Jack Smith. their efforts were soon awarded from Adam Sisson with a miss hitted ball finding the back of the net giving Sutton the lead they deserved. Suttons press in Spalding's half continued and more chances arose and 10 minutes after Sisson Jon Goodley put the game beyond doubt from a short corner. in the final five minutes Sutton could have added a couple of more goals to their tally but end product lacked and the game ended with 3 points for Sutton but still disappointed not to have had more goals on tally. Game ended 3-1 sutton. Another win for an ever improving development Sutton side was brilliant to see how with team work and the ability to pick up and find where the problems are after the first half to change them and play a half which was one way traffic for the good majority of it is excellent to see. player of the match this week goes to Jack Braginton for Constant support to the wide man and the central men whether it was attacking or defending and running his legs off for the whole game.
