Sutton went into the fixture knowing it was going to be a hard day at the office with a strong Peterborough side as well as missing sweeper Jeremy smith for the first half. As the game started Peterborough capitalised on the weakness in defence and a dormant Sutton found themselves 2-0 down at half time. A strong spirited team talk at half time spurred Sutton on and chances soon came for Suttons but it was Peterborough's defence holding us back with several unfortunate chances from Sisson White and Goodley. With Jeremy Smith now with us in the second half the defensive trio of Smith, Braginton and Munson left very little for Slator to do in second half. As time came ever more against Sutton pass the chances kept coming with an unfortunate decision against Quentin Charlie at the back post to give a glimmer of hope. With a minute left to play a White cross was converted by the most unlikely source which was Jack Braginton who'd a storming run along the left hand side. with 30 seconds left to play Sutton was awarded a short corner and with a smart clearance saw suttons chances of a point disappear.
