Another week saw long Suttons third team travel away to kings Lynn to play Long Sutton hockey club after losing many faces last week through injury and unavailability the thirds took 13 into the game with some old faces that was Adam Sisson and Josh Lambert playing the second friendly for the up and coming season as well as Edwin and Dave playing for the thirds both shining in the defensive roles . As the first half got under way Sutton pressed and attacked early with great work from the wide men linking up nicely with up and coming juniors Roberts and Norey in the forward positions and was unlucky not to score in the first short of the game. As the first half came to an end the team lost their shape and goals were soon conceded half ended 3-0 pelicans In the second half Sutton played more defensive hockey and kept pelicans at bay only letting their forwards take a couple of shots at keeper Bragington. as the half reached mid way pelicans scored once more and this put Sutton up a gear and played more liked they had in the first half and the tables turned with Proctor, Pack and Roberts unfortunate not to score. As the game came to an end Suttons defence kept the opposition at bay. game ended 4-0 A loss all be it but a good reminder on how far the third team has come since the last time they played the side, playing swifter smoother attacking hockey linking up with all the outfield players but was just unfortunate on the end product. Of course holes were found and the team will train hard going into next week's fixture player of the match this week cannot be given to any one person on the pitch as everyone and anyone could of been given it but a special mention must go to the two juniors Charlie Roberts and George Norey who proved to us that they were both more than ready for senior hockey come January when they join us properly but more importantly the manner in which they played in
