MATCH REPORT
LSHC Mens' First v Cambridge City 3rd
Played Home on 4th November 2017Sutton stood triumphant in this weekends match again Cambridge City - and what a stunning performance it was - it was perfectly orchestrated by Evans and the team, who had now picked up their first win of the season and those much desired 3 points. A perfectly timed through ball from will Cook saw Luke Jackson dive across the face of goal, to set Ben Shore up for the opening goal and first of his hat trick. City breaking down play as many times as they could muster, Sutton countering so valiantly and Shore finding the net once more. Brilliant defensive work from Andy Shore and Daniel Oldfield saw City's squad because slowly frustrated and shots going begging. Half time blew causing the sides to regroup. City battled back hard in the second half with a counter play rewarding in their first goal, 2-1. It was Sutton who then stepped up a gear and the Sutton midfield becoming unstoppable, gaining control of the mid - pitch after the city's short break, restoring their lead through Shore once again with a thunderous shot, 3-1. It would fall to Joshua Fyson to emphasise the superiority with a precise finish in the last few minutes and seal the game 4-1. Witten by: Lukas Van Jacksonberg
