So after a run of 3 defeats, the last 2 on the road. Long Sutton were keen to cause an upset based on league position. With Kettering have sent Sutton home with 0 points and a 5 goal to 1 deficit the last time the 2 teams met it was going to take pure grit for the side to take their revenge.

Welcoming back Will Taylor, Tyler Hagan and Mckenzie East back to the squad it gave us many options in the middle of the park. Long Sutton started the brightest of the two and pressured Kettering mistakes. It was from these mistakes that 2 goals came both coming from Gary Hales. Whilst being two goals it doesn't mean Kettering didn't have chances of their own. The defence of midfield of Sutton had to hold firm to which the managed and maintained with good effect. It would be 5 minutes from half time that Sutton would be undone with a quick move from Kettering's forward to allow a simply tap in. Half time 2-1 Sutton

Kettering came out the doors hard and fast in the second half, once more Sutton's defence held firm. It would only be a slick counter attack that would allow them equalise from open play. Then some 5 minutes later they would take the lead for themselves from a short corner. There lead would short lived with A great attacking move from the men in green it would be Gary Hales again to complete his hatrick. So with the score 3-3 Kettering looked more likely to score and they would once more from a broken down short corner. This only spurred Sutton on and a high press created chances. 10 minutes to play and temper in the away sides camp started to boil over. 2 Kettering players as-well as hagan and baker all receiving 2 minute sit downs in the final stages. It wouldn't however stop long Sutton getting there equaliser from a Josh Fyson short corner. Either side could've knicked a winner in the final 5 minutes but it would be Sutton's defence once more that proved the difference in there being any change to the score.
