Looking to keep the 100% home record and to gain something with the same spirited gameplay they displayed the previous week Sutton faced strugglers Ely city. Starting strong Sutton took full control scoring 3 goals in the opening 20 minutes Fyson gaining two and a well worked team goal allowed Jackson to put the ball into the goal. There is very little to be said for the remaining 50 minutes as Sutton took their foot off the gas and allowed pressure to come into their 25, Ely taking advantage scoring one at the end of the 1st and middle of the 2nd half. Realising the game was slipping from them the team did step up their game and chances were created but an inform Ely keeper kept Sutton on their toes so it was an expert rallying defence that pushed the team over line for their second win and their final win on the old astro at the peele school before the new one is laid.
