A brilliant team performance secured a point against top quality opposition. Sutton started in a positive frame of mind despite missing their captain and two of their regulars having been drafted into the second team. The young players did exactly what they were asked to do and in all areas of marking, tracking back, communicating through the team, passing, moving and maintaining possession they showed how much they have learned this season. Jacob Synnott was impressive in a central defensive role, ably assisted by Josh Ripley and Kieran Forrest and Harry Braginton and Will Taylor have made the wide positions their own. Tyler Hagan showed his versatility up front with Lewis Shooter and Luke Proctor putting in great shifts in support. Scoreless at half time, heads did not drop when Leadenham took the lead after a goalmouth scramble. Stand-in skipper Ian White's near post short corner equaliser was nothing less than the team deserved.
